A Friend Forever!

I saw this message circulating on Facebook quite a while ago and loved it.  It sure spoke to me so I thought I would share it.  Although it refers here to husbands, I know it is meant to be for anyone such as wives, partners, parents, friends, caregivers, teachers, sisters, brothers, children, grandparents, etc, and even some of our bosses at work as well.

Who would you like to share this with ...

My husband has made me laugh, wiped my tears, hugged me tight, saved my life, watched me succeed, seen me fail, cheered me on, kept me going strong, put up with my mood swings, has said everything will be alright when things get tough, and keeps me sane.  My husband is a promise from God that I’ll have a friend forever...

Winter Blooms!

The last few years we’ve been going away for part of the winter and that affects going to activities at home, so this year I decided I’m staying home and maybe go on a little trip later in the spring.

Having the confirmation that I will be home has been great, wonderful in fact.  I got to get more potted flower plants to have in the house over the Christmas season and they get to bloom and live according to their time, I volunteered to teach yoga for Elder College’s winter session, registered for guitar classes, a workshop over in Vancouver, and will be registering for a couple more classes here that I’ve wanted to take so I’m happy they are being offered again.  And, I get to go to this session of choir which already started this week.

This winter will just fly by and it will be full of fun learning, meeting people, gaining new skills, and stretching my comfort zone.  I am really looking forward to all this, from having more flowers bloom in the house to letting myself grow and bloom more as well.

When we’re happy on the inside, it definitely shows up on the outside!

Have a happy winter!

A day or so late but I just saw this and it sounds so beautiful!
Check out the New Years video, Auld Lang Syne.

New Day, New Year

Each new day can provide us with so many opportunites for health, hope, love,  peace, hugs, happiness and so much more.

I am celebrating my life and looking forward to all the wonderful things I get to do in the next couple of months.  A few days ago I saw this quote in a magazine that I thought was wonderful and needed to be shared.  It is from an inspiring story about Morgan Van Breda, in the first issue of the magazine Island Gals.

"I live my life in the direction of the woman I wish to be at one hundred years of age.  That is a woman of honor, integrity, heart, knowledge, openness, ever-loving, fearless, enlighted being and still alive."

Namaste.
