This one was for Volkswagen!
Years ago we had a couple of Volkswagen Jetta's so of course their commercials got our attention and I especially liked their slogan, Drivers Wanted.
I guess it was May of 1998 when we drove down the Western States into northern California. It was foggy on the coast so we decided to head inland and started going through one of the Worlds most beautiful places, California's Redwood Forest.
Us two older folks and our dog Betsy
out having a blast!
Away from the coast it was a sunny warm day, so with the windows and sunroof open, and some great classical music loudly playing we zipped down the curvy roads in our Jetta.
I remember saying to my husband, this would be a great commercial!

If you get to visit the forest and have time, also check out the beautiful Crater Lake in Oregon.
On the way we had lunch at a picnic table along the road and had lots of fun sharing it with a few little hungry visitors.

It was one of those days that will always be in our Memory!
