SHADOW OF TIME/NIGHTNOISE

A treat for the weekend.

I heard this song several times and loved the beautiful tune and singing.  I wanted to really listen to what the words were which led me to You Tube, and I thought I'd share it with you today.

Have you done this?   Lots of times I've sung songs not really knowing what the words were and what the whole song meant. I'd be in my own world having fun with the music and melody, so after I found the song I found the words below.

Listen and then look at the words. What does it mean to you?  Enjoy!

I see a strange man
Running silently
He never looks behind him
He has no time to see
He makes no sound, he has no voice
The ground he doesn't feel
But he's always on the run
And I wonder if he's real

Chorus:
Run on, run on, shadow of time
Run on, run on, shadow of time

His first name is today
His last name is tomorrow
He knows no pain, he knows no joy
He doesn't think of sorrow
Fast and small, he's slow and tall
He never stops to rest
But I know where he's goin'
'Cause I know him the best

(Chorus 2x)

Water, Consciousness & Intent: Dr. Masaru Emoto

How energy varies between words ...

Let's use the positive words!

Change and Heal our lives...

This video is quite interesting and reminded me of a book I have by Doreen Virtue titled, Angel Words.

Angel Words is about how words show up differently in the graphics during recording. Positive words are much larger and raised while the negative words are low and more flat.

This is really interesting and has made me more aware now about low energy words and how I can change them to positive high energy words and phrases.

A simple change can make a powerful difference!

4 yoga poses to do before bed

Can't sleep well?

Sleep Deprived?

Try Yoga

Yes, I too have problems sleeping.  I can go to sleep OK but wake up a few hours later. Sometimes I am awake for 2-3 hours and then go back to sleep and wake up several more times. I'm feeling really lucky those nights that I get to go back to sleep after a half hour or so.

This has gone on for years and I am very surprised when I get that maybe one night a year that I have slept through the whole night.

I saw this link and thought I'd share it here as I know lots of us have sleep problems as well and over the years we try lots of things so here's another thing to try!  Yoga always helps me with whatever I need and I do love these 4 poses.

Share with others, we all need our beauty sleep!

Solver or Struggler

Puzzles

Does this remind you of something or someone?

How do I put this together?
How does this work?
Where should I go?

Do you have those days when you feel scattered in all directions?

Do you have days when you feel like everything is a struggle?

Dona Anderson
Life offers us many things to make sense of, or games and problems to learn from. The relaxation titled Puzzles, on page 126 in Simply, One Breath At t Time asks us about our own puzzles and then takes us back to our breath.  It offers us the advice to take one breath at a time, and one step at a time.

Our lives change from day to day and year to year. Sometimes we feel we don't change much but our world is changing so our choices, goals and dreams can become our puzzles.  A new passion can even be a mixture of ideas, thoughts, bits and pieces that we have to fit together and build upon.

This short relaxation gives us a few minutes to simply unwind, take a breath, and for us to remind ourselves that life can be a bit confusing some days.

                                                         And, that's OK!

The Magic of Spring!

First Temptations of Spring!

Dona Anderson
Roots to Breath, Dona Anderson

Daffodils, Tulips, Green Grass, Asparagus, Strawberries, Sunshine!

What's your pick when the warm weather starts to tempt our bodies, minds and senses?  The jackets are shed, the long pants and socks go back in the closet, the shorts and sandals reappear and all the outdoor tables and chairs mysteriously appear on the deck or in the yard.

Where I live, we also have beautiful beaches to explore and today may not look any different than when our grandchildren visited in early January except for the layers of coats we wore and the warmth of the sun!

On a sunny day you immediately want to shed the outer wear and take your chances! Like with the rest of our life, some days we have to be patient and wait, and other days we brave the elements and go for it. We let our curiosity win for a few seconds before we come back to reality.

This weekend is a long weekend for us, and it is usually the first official camping or planting weekend of the year so here's to a weekend full of friends, family, BBQ's, gardening, rest and hopefully some fun play to really let your heart sing!

8 Ways for you to invite Spring IN!

Dona Anderson

8 easy ways to invite spring in!

This is a meditation I return to each spring when I feel a time of restlessness and the urge to clean and clear.

After the winter, it reacquaints me to the new year and the wonders of the earth as it wakes up to begin again. I hope you enjoy it and please share with others!

It begins by simply connecting you with your breath by noticing your next few inhales followed by your exhales … get comfortable, soften your eyes, and take a few minutes to ease into noticing each part of the breath.

Become aware that the inhalation is to receive, the exhalation is to release and let go … slowly soften throughout your body and gently begin to lengthen each part of the breath slightly as you breathe … can you also start to notice where you feel the breath expanding and then releasing within your body …

As you become more relaxed and comfortable bring to focus your next few inhales only and invite into each one the freshness and rejuvenation of spring.

Let your warm spring breaths also bring in feelings of peace, kindness, and compassion …

Slowly move your focus now to your exhales … notice and celebrate where you start to let go of the breath, where you let go of any stress or tension you may be holding, and where you come back to feelings of open spaces being left behind.

Let the focus on your breath go now and give yourself permission to just rest and become even more comfortable … can you feel your body both receiving and releasing … can you feel your body and mind both softly letting go … can you feel spaces starting to open up to invite spring in …

This spring, smile as you wake up to the sun rises filling your home with soft morning light.

As new flowers begin to bloom absorb all their beauty, colors, and soothing fragrances.

Listen to the birds joyful songs of celebration as they return to begin again.

Embrace the blossoms of the trees as their gifts to you and the world.

Feel the freshness of soft drops of warm rain on your face.

Notice your smiles are gifts that connect you with the present moment.

Breathe in and let gratitude fill your whole body with inner peace.

And this spring, maybe you can release a few layers of old thoughts and habits and create space to invite in simplicity, ease, calm, and softness.

Now close your eyes and simply rest for a few more minutes ...

Smile - absorb - listen - embrace - feel - notice - breathe in - release ...
