Are  you ready for a few minutes to simply connect with your breath and relax?

Rest with your breath, and soften your body for a few moments. When you feel relaxed, go through this poem slowly and let it guide you to a place to listen to your Heart.

The heart is a place of wisdom and here it asks you to listen. 


Let your body
find
a place
of stillness ...

as your mind quiets,
let your whole body
access your inner self and journey to
a place 
that is
still ...

a place
that is
silent ...

a place
without 
thoughts ....

journey to 
a place
where you can 
listen to
your heart ...

I wanted to find a poem by Rumi to share for Valentine's Day and then I remembered this one I posted way back - April 11, 2012.

It's a perfect one to sift through and sit in its sweetness!


You & I
by Rumi

“A moment of happiness,
You and I sitting on the verandah,
Apparently two, but one in soul, you and I.

We feel the flowing water of life here,
You and I, with the garden’s beauty
And the birds singing.

The stars will be watching us,
And we will show them
What it is to be a thin crescent moon.

You and I unselfed, will be together,
Indifferent to idle speculation, you and I.

The parrots of heaven will be cracking sugar
As we laugh together, you and I.
In one form upon this earth,
And in another form in a timeless sweet land.”

This photo invites you to come along on a short walking Meditation.

Imagine slowly walking down this path for a peaceful Heart Meditation.
A lullaby for your Soul ...

Allow your next few breaths to be soft yet full ...
Dona Anderson

Bring into focus now the heart shaped leaves along the path ... let them calm and soothe your body and mind.

Begin to walk down the path and as you come to a heart, take a moment to go inside and connect to your own strength, compassion, and courage.

Notice how each one of your breaths feels welcoming, nourishing, and refreshing ...

The curved path reminds you to embrace the flow of life that is always changing ...

The color green is for your Heart Chakra that loves,
forgives, opens, heals, and accepts.

You may want to sit for awhile and simply breathe in and breathe out for a  few minutes.

It's OK to linger here and rest a little longer.
