How do you feel when You wake up?

Bruce Lipton

always has the right words to help us.

Dona Anderson

Wake up Happy

How do You wake up?

Over the years and ages waking up has been quite different from those days of going to school and having to walk there, then to working, having kids and getting  lunches for all of us and out the door to getting the bus.

Now being retired and older it has changed again. Much more relaxing.

I usually don't wake up too energized because I don't sleep well and if I sleep through the night once a year I wake up startled and wonder what happened.

Lucy & Kelsie
But within a few minutes our Westie dog Kelsie is up on the bed for her morning kisses and rubdown.

Our Scottie dog Lucy who claims most of the bed finally moves over and is taking her time to get up then they both  head to the kitchen to wait for their morning cookie.

I hear the kettle on for my tea and in comes my hubby to get me moving or close the door and let me rest for a bit longer.

We all probably need some help at times to put that smile on our face to go out into the world - or to pull the covers over our heads for a while longer.

Tonight lets make a plan to wake up happy tomorrow saying 3 things we're grateful for.

We could try it for a few more days even if the 3 things are the same everyday.

Let's wake up happy and make those daily choices to pause, smile, and make the changes you need to support your day and life or whatever it is.

We have to make our lives healthy for us and the world.

I thought this might be a good ending for this post.

It's a few lines from the meditation Living in Wellness from my book Moving Forward from the Heart on page 133.

My wellness is determined by my awareness, my acceptance of change, my relationships, my internal and outward communication, and my knowing that love is all around me and it is there for me to both give and receive.
I celebrate my success.

I guess my 3 things are already above that puts a smile on my
face and in my heart.

PS. Soften your whole body, and invite a smile
to fill your face and your heart.

Have a great day and week ahead 😀

I really appreciate your shares that help to send wellness out into the world.

Another Year that will not be forgotten

Moving on but not forgetting

Dona Anderson

When was the last year we had a break from all that's been going on ?

We had another year with too much stress, death, loss and destruction ...

So let's change the Story to help us Feel better for a few minutes.

I'm sure we could all make a long list of what went wrong these last few years, so instead lets leave that and remember the GOOD Stuff from the same couple of years.

I know it'll take a bit to focus in on it and remember the Good.

The last few years have been hard but often the good stuff is there too that we need to remember.

There's been lots of change everywhere and I guess our lists may all be very  different.

What things stood out for You?

What things were You thankful for?

Thankfully the daily news is not all bad.

Maybe you had lots of support you never imagined.

I saw a lot of people helping others, bringing them into their homes and providing a safe place.

I saw food being made and served to the hungry

Pets being rescued and looked after

Vaccines made and continued to be given out

Medical workers helping others when they needed it too

Food Banks getting donations and sending them out

Countries helping other countries

Friends starting to gather again

People smiling

Change being more readily accepted and tried

Zoom and other things helped people connect

Working from home saved time, money & more

Things started to open up again

Traveler's hitting the roads and skies

Those were some I quickly thought of - what are yours?

What's on your list?

PS.  when I worked I was always proactive in getting things started or done ahead of time to lessen the stress of something happening later on so I guess I've been also doing this the last 12years with these now over 700 posts.

The weeks go by so fast that my getting a few posts ahead doesn't last long.

I think it was easier at work as I knew what I needed to do but here it's made up and different every week - not like a work done report kind of thing.

As we head in 2023 I'll soon be nearing 800 posts.

This was Never imagined in my wildest dreams and mine are pretty weird.

I'll try to continue to bring you relaxation, inspiration, peace, hope, music and more to support your Wellness and Self Care.

I hope you've had many favorites or ones over the years you've connected to for some special reason.

In my Book Moving Forward from the Heart the first meditation is titled,

So Much More to See

and the last one is titled,

You became the Beauty

In between these two are 71 other meditations to support your day & life to

Discover your own true self as you

How did You survive Covid?

Hello and welcome to September.

What will be our life after covid?

I hope it will be smooth and easy ...

What did you discover from all the time at home, away from travelling to work, going out for activities, shopping, to movies and whatever your pre covid routine was about.

I think a lot of us discovered those little things that nag at us, things you'd want to change, get rid of and ...

For some of us we never had that amount of time before to be inside at home, with our family or by ourselves.

What did You discover?

I had my little list before and some of that arose again and some were replaced by other things.

Some were important and others not but were still ones easily brought up to complain about or kept silent below the surface.

We've all had a lot of stress, concerns, worry, loss, anger, frustration and so on  from too many places that even those small changes can be stressful.

We may have our lists and do we ask others what's on theirs?

Do we even want to know?

Have you ever interviewed yourself to find out what your dislikes are about?

What would your friends say about You?

What bugs You?

What do you want your life to be about?

Who are You now?

My book Moving Forward from the Heart offers 73 unique meditations to support you to relax discover your own true self and celebrate life.

And click on the label Moving forward below.

PS. The first meditation is titled, So Much More to see.

The last one is titled, You became the beauty.

💗💗💗

There's so much more to see.

After hundreds of years we still haven't figured it out.

Don't give up yet, we have things to do.

Dona Anderson

The last couple of years has shown us we need a lot of change.

And, it comes to us in many different ways from  ...

      The weather
      to Violence
      Murder
      War
      Illness
      Lies
      hardship
      homeless
      accidents
      Fires
      clean water
      empty shelves
      hording
      and more.

I remember in the beginning of the pandemic we heard the words saying we want to go back to normal.

Then we heard voices that said our before life wasn't normal.

Will these last couple of years finally become that wake up call.

I heard this interview in the video below and had to share it.

I believe a lot of us know change is needed but where can it start.

Hopefully we can find things we can do and peacefully use our voice/votes to secure change on the bigger scale.

Change needs to come in many ways even in how we shop and spend money.

How our purchases affect nature, wildlife, rivers, oceans and more.

Change doesn't just come from politicians.  We vote them in.

Every little bit helps.

PS. As I was listening to the video I thought of how things we buy like appliances and other things don't last very long anymore. - what happened to quality.

How much garbage we throw out in packaging, having to get the new model, and all the plastic waste. We see the sale sign and suddenly need something we didn't an hour ago.

Here's a few lines from the meditation Why should We in my book Moving Forward from the Heart on page 69.

"Why should we support the future of the World?

Because each one of us can make a difference.

We can be more kind, understanding and compassionate to others.

We can listen more, use better words, be more creative, intuitive and expand our role to being guardians, caretakers and caregivers over that of bystanders and consumers."

We can - You can - I can.

Discover your simple Lullaby of Peace

A True Treasures post for you today.

Let's focus on stuff we can change.

Today We're connecting to the

meditation, Lullaby of Peace.

Moving Forward from the heart,  # 42, page 105.

Dona Anderson

Hi and thank You for your visit today.

As the colder weather of winter is upon us it becomes that time of year when we settle into our homes and catch up on reading, TV shows, and enjoy those jams, pickles, pies and other freezer goodies we made to enjoy over the winter.

It's also a time for letting ourselves observe our day to day lives, our health, wellness and outlook on life.

It may even be about what  we take out into the World and what we bring back -  is it what we need.

Things are uncertain still and changing for us and it will take time to process these last 2+ years ... what it all meant, what we lost, and what we'll take into the future.

Each one of us will have different things, different memories, feelings, stresses, loss  & more.

Are you staying at home too much and not wanting to go out.

Are you still feeling the loss of income, friendships, activities, community or those  simple smiles and hello's when you go for a walk.

Are you still wondering if it will start all over again or get worse.

To Help, I want to share with you today this short Meditation.

I hope it will soften your day, and spread good
feelings throughout  your whole body & mind.

Lullaby of Peace

"A musician brings music to life,

it starts from silence, to build, unfold,

reach and release when silence is returned again.

You bring your breath to life ...

Each breath starts from a place of silence; it builds, unfolds, reaches, and releases when silence again returns.

Let this magical circle of breath go deeper to fill and hold even more ...imagine your organs, bones, skin and muscles all experiencing the different patterns of our breathing ... listen as these patterns become beautiful notes of music being played by your own orchestra.

As you begin to prepare for meditation, allow the music to fade and change slightly as you create soft inner waves of breathing... feel the rhythm of your inhalations and exhalations deepen to become the notes in a smooth, soft lullaby of peace ...

Settle a bit more and surrender into feelings of being protected within the rhythm of you, your life, your knowing, your stillness and your breath ..."

Listen to these beautiful notes softly

playing your lullaby, your smooth,

soft, sweet notes of peace ..."

Moving Forward from the heart © 2015

PS. I hope you enjoyed these moments to relax,

Take a few more minutes to be still and observe how your body feels, where your thoughts are.

Enjoy just being still for a few minutes to rest and notice your breaths as your body relaxes.

When you feel ready to restart your day wiggle your toes, stretch out your fingers,  and you may feel like you need a stretch or a big yawn.

Take a couple more breaths and slowly begin to return to your day. 💖

Lastly here's the ending to the meditation

"The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear ~ Rumi

Namaste.

Pick one and see what you discover

It's time for another True Treasures

Dona Anderson

What are true Treasures?

I share a lot from my books and True Treasures became a chance for me to share a bit more from a particular meditation.

You can see previous True Treasures posts by linking to the label True Treasures at the bottom of the post.

This one is from Words to Be savored and treasured

#27 on page 75 in  Moving Forward from the Heart.

The meditation starts by asking you to select one thought from the list for your Meditation and see what you discover.

This is not the complete list but you can get a feeling for the intent of the meditation.

*Compliments should not be kept as thoughts, they should be given and also received.

*Some words can mean the same thing, but get a totally different response.

*A friendly greeting or acknowledgement can create a feeling of welcoming and belonging, and let someone know you care.

*Say words that match your happy heart and face.

*Talk about the way you want to be, and use your words to make your dreams come true"

PS. I have to add in the last one,

I love and believe in me.

Beautiful Tilly

Take Care and have a wonderful Day.

Fun time to pick - What would You be?

9 questions to ask yourself ...

It's hard to pick - can it be more than one.

Dona Anderson

I was flipping through my book Moving Forward from the Heart and came across the meditation What would You be #46 on page 114. I decided to share some of it with you and make it another of our True Treasures.

It's a fun place to pause and let go of that junk in our head for a few minutes.

It's funny how a simple question can be quite hard to answer so I decided to wait until until all the fruits and vegies were sampled over the summer and the colors of the flowers and seasons are still in our minds.

And, OK, to be honest I was having difficulty just picking one for my answer so I figured I can think about it longer or ask myself the question more times so I can pick more things.

There, problem solved.

Anyway here is a shortened version of what's on the page. You can do one or pick a few - whatever you want.

It's just for fun and to get us thinking about things in our everyday life.

Here goes.

If you were a flavour, what would you be?

If you were a color, what would you be?

If you were a fragrance, what would you be?

If you were a shape, what would you be?

a flower ... a season ... a tree ... an animal ... ?

and it ends with

You are You, what will you be?

So ok, who else picked strawberry for flavour?

PS. Next time it will be that peach that I picked off the tree a few years ago that was really juicy, sweet, warm from the sun and oh so perfect.

Or that pear from a roadside market that was so delicious and the juice was running down my face.(oh sorry that's more for a fruit not flavour)

Oops, I guess I should have added Fruit on the list, but I'm covered  - I wrote it down on the page.

Have Fun add in some others
to the list that you think of.

Thanks for your visit and new posts every Tuesday.

Tuesday is our Day.
