Time-Lapse: Watch Flowers Bloom Before Your Eyes

Spring is Here!

YES.

Love this video.

It's amazing to watch the time lapse flowers and to see the changes as they bloom.
Beautiful.

Dona Anderson

I always feel that our spring starts early as some of the flower bulbs start growing in late December and sneak above ground for a month or so until they start getting bigger when it's warmer.

We had more cold, snow, rain & wind than normal over the winter so good to see these ones brighten our yard and spirit. Photo left March 22, 2022

Is Spring one of your favorite seasons?

Gifts from our garden last year.

Have a great week and new posts every Tuesday.

Love that the birds are more active
now and singing lots during the day.

PSOne more for you today is a few lines from an ancient Navajo Walk in Beauty Prayer. It certainly fits into the gifts of Spring.

"With beauty before me I walk
With beauty behind me I walk
With beauty above me I walk
With beauty around me I walk
It has become beauty again"

What are the words You remember?

and, they change over time.

I saw this quote a while back and it seemed an important one to share.

Dona Anderson

I don't remember what I thought about at the time but since then it has taken on different words and memories when thinking back over the past years and things I and others have said.

The most important words we'll ever utter are those words we say to ourselves, about ourselves, when we're by ourselves. ~A.L. Walker~

The child version - trying to fit in, being the little sister/brother or the older one. Feelings about how our looks change over the years - will my teeth ever grow in, or how we look in that first pair of glasses.

The teenage version - I don't know anyone, I look weird, I don't like the new grades at school, finding new favorite songs and bands. Hoping the Boys or Girls like me. Hoping my clothes don't look out of place. Trying to put on makeup. Another pimple, Need a different hair style, when will I get taller.

I'm an adult now - Time for getting a job, perhaps going college or other education. What do I want to do? Who's going to hire Me? Can I do that?

Married and family life - Am I or are We doing this right. What do we really want our lives to be about. So much pressure & stress. I'm starting to have wrinkles. My hair is getting grey. We need more savings. I'm tired of all the housework, making meals, paying the bills and all the other things. Need to buy that winning lottery ticket.

Getting older - when can we retire. How do we pay the bills. My health is changing I can't do what I used to. I'm tired.

Senior - I need more help. Another visit to the doctor. What's wrong with me. I don't like that anymore. I don't remember. I need to exercise, but. How does that work. My clothes don't fit anymore, they're only 20 years old. I'm sad things are always changing. I hurt. My friends are leaving... It's too hard to get out. I'm lonely, The kids are busy.

Where will I end up?

PS. I always love seeing this plant start to bloom again. It just does it on its own in the same place and time every year.

No help or needing to look at the calendar.

Nature just knows what to do and in many cases, so do we.

I hope we can learn to relax and find more peace and comfort in our lives.

Remember those good stories, fun times and laugh at the mistakes that taught you how to do it better the next time.

Take Care.

It feels like a Gift from Heaven

You'll love it too.

André Rieu - My Heart Will Go On

Spectacular performance.

Yes, me again - I was on the hunt for things

to share with You and I found this!

I've always been a Huge fan and got to attend a live performance years
ago when his orchestra came to Vancouver.

Amazing night!

It's wonderful that they continue to surprise us with these beautiful mix of music and art.

I still have another concert on my bucket list.

The video is peaceful yet energizing.

From the beginning it is all beautiful.

I got shivers for a moment and went back to the titanic movie.

The smooth beautiful performance of the skaters was very peaceful, loved it.

I loved the mix of background scenes moving from the skaters to the orchestra, to the buildings in the back which kind of had the sense of grounding.

All this and the words from the song in my head that the

Heart Will Go On.

PS I'm sure this will give us some peace ... We may need a few repeats.

Please take care of yourselves so
we can meet again.

Getting older might get us on TV

Thanks for your visit today.

We never know how long we'll live

and it looks like this lady was doing it right.

100 year old lady

Dona Anderson

What a sweetheart.

A great video I found to share with You.

Things she does

Exercise daily, think positive, good stories, laugh lots, music ....

I know it takes more than these things as well and often we forget about those everyday things that affect our feelings, emotions, thoughts and cause stress to build up.

PS. We never know how others are feeling inside even when they have a smile on their face.

Mariachi Connecticut Serenades a Beluga Whale

Love This

Dona Anderson

Have a look.

It's our wedding anniversary today,

53 years now.

Back 53 years ago we never thought about 53 years later.

When you're young you don't spend much time thinking about being old.

Then it quickly becomes later and it's What happened in all those years.

Gladly we're still alive and together, but we sure don't look the same.

Our Son, Daughter and their families are getting older and how many pets have we had.

Time sure has flown by.

It's fun to watch this video above. It kind of lets us forget about other things and just smile.

Humans and animals having Fun together - Priceless

One last thing.

You may remember seeing this song I shared a few years ago, anyway I wanted to share it again.

It may be another relaxing cheese fondue night!

They're so Beautiful

Watch a Breathtaking Monarch Butterfly Swarm

I can't imagine their travels ...

We get to see them here in Canada but don't know much about them.

From Mexico to Canada & back and forth as the seasons change.

This video and others will sure give us a deeper appreciation when we see one ...

PS. We feed the birds through the winter - let's help by

feeding them from spring to fall.

They flew a long way for us to enjoy their beauty.

Thanks for your visit and let's hope

they continue to thrive.

So much beauty in this world to love & support, and
too many hazards to their life and environment.

Live Your Dreams

We all have Dreams

Are yours about your family, job, travel plans, perfect partner or ...

Dona Anderson

Welcome and thanks for your visit.

I have another True Treasures post for You today.

Are your dreams about family, job, health, money, travel plans, perfect partner ... the list can be quite long.

Our dreams change as we live life, age, find new things, make choices of what we like or don't.

There is so much choice now in all areas from our job, where we live, the food we eat and more doesn't often make it easier.

I remember when my older sister was finishing high school she really only had the choice of 3, being a secretary, nurse or teacher.

A while back I opened my book Moving Forward from the Heart, and found the meditation Live our dreams #55 on page 128.

As I read it over I lingered on the ending as I seem to do on most of the relaxations in this book as it offered a place to go for help.

I thought I'd share a few lines or excerpts of it with you  for another True Treasures post..

From the beginning

"What in this day to dream seems unattainable?

What paths in your life are hidden from view?

What friendly fears try to hold you back?"

From the ending

"Unpack your dreams, spread them out and take a look. Let them come to life and be real so you can plan them into existence, plan for them to be part of your day, your life.

Each time you stretch out a little, you bring back more and go to a new place of thinking and responding. Each time you see how things change slightly, it becomes not so scary anymore. And, when you see what you need to learn more about, you know more about, how to move forward."

"Let these dreams be ones that come with wellness, ease,

happiness and a sense of renewal ...

Let these dreams be the ones of your future..."

Moving Forward from the Heart

Is this an awkward Day for You

February always has one special day

 Valentines

Dona Anderson

It mostly seems to just be all about Love.

But we can also let it help us celebrate friendships and show appreciation to others.

It reminds us to enjoy those people around us, that are in our lives, that help support us each day and make our World a better place.

It can be a child, spouse, coworker, neighbor, friend, your pet or whoever it is for You.

And, there are many situations where Valentines day can be a lonely, sad time, especially for those who are grieving, away from home or alone, but I like to think that Valentines can also be a day to celebrate ourselves.

It can be a time to reward ourselves for how we live our life as best we can to be strong and healthy in body, mind and spirit.

It's can be a day to remind us to love ourselves too, and a few flowers, chocolates or whatever your treat is, let it be a special Gift even if it's given to yourself.

The enjoyment is still real, and You get what you want.

I'm sharing one of my favorite songs and thought we could all sing along to send some kindness, love, peace & hope out into the World.

Also sending a Huge Thank You for Your continued support each week.

PS. A quote for you today.

Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love.

We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us.

The world changes when we change.

The world softens when we soften.

The world loves us when we choose to love the world.

~Marianne Williamson~

Take Care and have a wonderful day & week ahead.

A big wow today as this is post #700.

Jon Batiste Performing Blackbird

Hello, and thanks for your visit today.
Another week gone by already.

Dona Anderson

I can't believe I hadn't seen this before so when I saw this video I didn't want You to miss it too.

Jon Batiste Performing Blackbird - 09 FEB 2016

I get a lot of views for the music videos.

They seem timeless for us to hear over and over again. Some are for special occasions, to sing or dance with, others hold memories, emotions and more.

This will definitely be one of them.

I can see those little ones that love playing the piano busy starting to see how they can interpret other songs using their inspiration and musical talents.

The song written by Paul McCartney back in 1968 catches our attention as well as the music.

It's an easy song to sing along with but the meaning behind it raises different feelings as it comes from a time back in the civil rights movement years ago.

You can google it for more information.

If You haven't heard this version before have listen so you can hear how Jon Batiste captures our attention with his amazing piano playing.

We hear something very familiar but it's different, and I think he must of used all the keys/notes for this beautiful arrangement.

WOW WOW WOW

PS.  I've been busy and started preparing for this years Summer of Music 2022 that starts on the first Tuesday in July.
